*Dr Lucia Gannon is a General Practitioner in Killenalue, Co Tipperary. She has an interest in breastfeeding for approximately 20yrs.  In 1990 she was certified as a Lactation Consultant by the International Lactation Consultant Examiners Board. She is an Assistant Programme Director with the South East GP Training Programme and is also a GP teacher with the University of Limerick Postgraduate Medical Training Programme. She is a frequent speaker at both the annual conferences of La Leche League and the Association of  Lactation Consultants in Ireland.
