Getting out and about or going back to work bring their own challenges, but you can keep on breastfeeding.
If you are planning to continue breastfeeding when you go back to work you should start giving your baby an occasional feed of expressed breastmilk from about 6 weeks old.
From birth, breastmilk meets all your baby’s needs for food and drink to help them grow and develop. By about 26 weeks (6 months) they will begin to need more iron and nutrients than breastmilk alone can provide.
